The VR Verdict

VR porn payment declined? Why it happens and how to pay in 2026

Why banks decline VR porn subscriptions, which sites take PayPal or crypto, and what each one puts on your statement. Checkout pages checked 1 Nov 2026.

It's a problem that keeps coming up in Reddit threads: someone picks a VR porn site, clicks pay, and the card bounces. Then the questions start. Is it the site? Is it the bank? Is PayPal safer? What will my partner see on the statement?

We opened the payment pages of the biggest VR porn sites on 1 November 2026 and read their billing help. We did not enter card details or buy anything. Here is what each one accepts, what it says will appear on your statement, and what to do when a payment fails.

The short answer

  • A declined card is usually your bank's call. Adult subscriptions carry a high-risk merchant code, and some banks refuse them by default. Ask your bank to approve the charge, or switch method.
  • Most big sites take cards, PayPal and crypto. PayPal is on the checkout page of every site below, but PayPal's own rules prohibit adult subscriptions, so do not rely on it alone.
  • The statement line is neutral, and it differs by site. The payment page tells you what it will be.
  • Read the renewal price. Many offers renew at a higher price than the one you pay today.

What each site accepts, and what your statement shows

Site How you can pay (checkout, 1 Nov 2026) What the site says appears on your statement Billing company
VRPorn.com Card, PayPal, crypto; logos also show paysafecard, JCB, Neosurf and pay-by-bank "AIPX" Named on the receipt email
SexLikeReal Visa or Mastercard, PayPal, crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT and others) "DTM or similar", also given as "DataTech Streaming" Its operator, Data Tech Media d.o.o. (Slovenia)
VR Bangers and its sister sites Card, PayPal, crypto A "non-adult related company", no reference to the site Epoch or SegPay; crypto through Centrobill
POVR and WankzVR Card, PayPal, Bitcoin and other crypto "Safe and Discreet billing", no name given Epoch or Safe Billing
VirtualRealTrans Card through Epoch or CommerceGate, crypto (from our review, 28 Oct 2026) Described as discreet Epoch or CommerceGate

We could not open the BadoinkVR, VRCosplayX and BabeVR payment pages: the sites showed a bot check, and we do not get around those. VR Bangers' sister sites are VR Conk, BlowVR, AR Porn, VRB Trans, VRB Gay and VR Smash, which share its checkout.

On VRPorn.com, older purchases went through Epoch or SegPay, and the receipt email tells you which; the payment page now gives "AIPX" as the statement line. If you see AIPX and have no email from either company, our cancellation guide explains who to contact.

Why your card gets declined

Card networks sort every merchant by a category code. Adult subscriptions sit under 5967, and SegPay, one of the billing companies these sites use, explains that a card issuer can treat a 5967 transaction as risky and refuse it; in its estimate the code alone can cut approval rates by five to ten percent (SegPay). The site never sees your bank's reason. It only sees "declined".

The rules got stricter over time. Since April 2021 Mastercard has required the banks that sign up adult merchants to certify age and identity checks for everyone on screen, documented consent and review of content before publication. In 2025 the same pressure reached game stores: Steam and itch.io pulled or hid adult games after their payment companies objected. For video sites the visible effect is smaller: they still take cards, but your bank may be warier.

Where a VR porn payment goes, and where it usually stops
  1. 1 · You payWhat you see
You enter a cardVR porn siteBilling company (Epoch, SegPay…)
  2. 2 · The request travelsWhat you don't see
Site's bank (acquirer)Visa / MastercardYour bank: sees code 5967 and may say no

The answer travels back the same way. The site only learns "declined", not your bank's reason.

What to do when a payment fails

  1. Check the basics first: the card's online and international payments switched on, enough balance, the right billing address.
  2. Call or message your bank and ask whether it blocked the payment. SegPay's advice is the same: ask the bank why and ask it to approve the purchase.
  3. Try another method on the same page. VR Bangers' billing FAQ suggests exactly that when "My purchase was denied", and adds that a temporary hold on your money should be released shortly.
  4. Write to the site's support if it still fails; the billing company named on the page or in the email can see what happened on its side.

PayPal: on the page, against the rules

PayPal appeared at checkout on every site we could open. Yet PayPal's own help page on sexually oriented goods prohibits "sexually oriented digital goods or content delivered through a digital medium", naming "downloadable pictures or videos and website subscriptions" as examples. We found no public explanation of how the two fit together.

Our advice is practical rather than legal: if PayPal works for you today, fine, but do not make it your only way in. Keep a card or another method ready, and expect PayPal to be the first option to disappear if the rules are enforced.

Crypto: private, but less forgiving

VRPorn.com, SexLikeReal, VR Bangers and POVR take crypto. VRPorn.com and VR Bangers process it through Centrobill; SexLikeReal lists BTC, ETH, USDT and other coins. VR Bangers' FAQ spells out the catches:

  • send only the coins and networks shown on the payment page, on their main networks;
  • you pay the network fee;
  • if the coins left your wallet and access did not appear, write to support with your email, order ID, transaction hash, sending address and date.

VR Bangers' terms are blunt about refunds: "Refunds for cryptocurrency payments are not available, except as required by law." We did not find a crypto refund rule on the other sites, so assume a mistake is harder to undo than with a card.

Surprise charges: renewals and bundles

Two things catch people out after a successful payment.

The renewal price. The price on the join page is often an introductory one. POVR and WankzVR state it at the bottom of the page: "1 Month membership renews monthly at $24.95. 12 Months membership renews every 12 months at $99.95." SexLikeReal says you are "rebilled on the same date each month". Read the line under the plans before you pay; our price index tracks what each site charges.

Bundles. Checkout pages offer add-ons such as VR Conk, AR Porn or VR Smash for a few dollars more. VR Bangers warns that bundle subscriptions and partner offers "may result in multiple charges as separate transactions". Two lines on your statement after one checkout is usually that, not a double charge.

To stop a renewal, cancel through the site or the billing company named in your receipt: our step-by-step pages cover VRPorn.com and VR Bangers and its sister sites.

Our view

Paying for VR porn is not hard, but it is less certain than paying for a streaming service, and the uncertainty sits with the banks and payment companies, not the sites. The sites we checked have adapted: neutral statement lines, two billing companies each, crypto as a fallback. As a buyer, the best protection is boring. Read the statement line and the renewal price on the payment page, keep the receipt email that names the billing company, and have a second way to pay ready. For the privacy side of the same question, see VR porn and privacy.

What we could not check: the BadoinkVR group's checkout, why PayPal is offered despite its policy, the exact statement wording used by Epoch, SegPay and Safe Billing, and crypto refund rules outside VR Bangers.

Questions

Why was my card declined on a VR porn site?

Usually your bank, not the site. Adult subscriptions are filed under a high-risk merchant code (5967), and some banks decline those by default. Call your bank and ask them to approve it, or use another method the site offers.

Can I pay for VR porn with PayPal?

On 1 November 2026 VRPorn.com, SexLikeReal, VR Bangers and POVR all offered PayPal at checkout. PayPal's own policy lists adult website subscriptions as prohibited, so treat it as something that can stop working and keep a card or crypto as a backup.

What will show on my bank statement?

It depends on the site. VRPorn.com says AIPX, SexLikeReal says DTM or DataTech Streaming, and VR Bangers says a company name with no adult reference. Check the line on the payment page before you pay.

Can I pay for VR porn with crypto?

Yes, on VRPorn.com, SexLikeReal, VR Bangers and POVR. Send only the coins and networks listed on the payment page, and keep the transaction hash in case access does not switch on.

Why was I charged twice?

Often because you added a bundle. VR Bangers says bundle subscriptions and partner offers can arrive as separate charges. If you did not add one, contact the site and the billing company named in your receipt email.
