The short version

VRCosplayX is the cosplay and parody studio of the BaDoinkVR family: performers dressed as characters from games, anime, comics, movies and TV, filmed in VR at up to 8K. It has been running for years, so the back catalogue is deep.

Our verdict is wait for a deal. The headline $9.95 is a first-month offer, the lifetime plan is expensive at $375, and its direct rival VR Conk costs less on the yearly plan.

What you get for the money

Streaming and unlimited downloads, new releases up to 8K, and a free week on one sister site. On the yearly plan it works out at about $7.50 a month. If you want the whole family, the five-site bundle (BaDoinkVR, VRCosplayX, BabeVR, 18VR and RealVR) is about $16.66 a month on the yearly plan.

Picture quality

Recent scenes are 4K to 8K, mostly 180° with some 360°, some at 60fps. Older parodies are lower resolution, which is noticeable on a Quest 3 or any sharper headset.

VRCosplayX, VR Conk or VRPorn.com?

  • Cheapest dedicated cosplay studio: VR Conk at $6.95 a month on the yearly plan, with a steady run of recent game and TV parodies. See VR Conk vs VRCosplayX.
  • Cosplay from several studios at once: VRPorn.com lists 200+ VRCosplayX videos and VR Conk among 400+ studios. Our best cosplay VR porn page compares all three.
  • You love this studio's back catalogue: take the VRCosplayX yearly plan, not month-to-month.

Verdict

Good cosplay content with a long history, but not the best value right now. Wait for a deal on the yearly plan, or start with VR Conk or VRPorn.com.
